Peace, please!
'Peace please!’ for the people of Ukraine.
Horrified at the acts of aggression by the Russian Government, and their invasion of Ukraine, I wondered, like everyone, what I could do to help.
I decided to make these prints to support the people of Ukraine.
The image is of a Russian-made AK-47 assault rifle, with the national flower of Ukraine, the sunflower blocking its barrel.
The image takes its cue from the ‘Flower Power’ images by American photographer Bernie Boston, from the 1967 March on the Pentagon to protest at the Vietnam War, where activists placed flowers in the barrels of the soldiers rifles
All sales will be donated to the British Red Cross’s Ukraine crisis appeal.
